Claud H. Gilmer (1901-1983) and A. M. Aiken, Jr., produced the "Gilmer-Aiken" bills during the 51st session of the Texas State Legislature. These bills affected public schoo education in Texas by raising teachers' salaries and providing state financial support for local school districts.
